We made these before and sold out. This super 2 inch eyepiece is an eight element design (2 doublets and 4 air-spaced single elements) with coated optics. Provides a flat, sharp image and a nice wide field of view. We don't have the equipment to measure all the exact specs, but from our visual sky tests, this is one of the best we've seen. You'll love it or your money back-no questions (that's our policy on everything). Fits standard 2 inch focusers. 12.5mm focal length. 20mm eye relief. Only had the optics to make a small quantity. This eyepiece is a 4 element Plossl design with coated optics and has a threaded barrel which accepts 48mm filters. Field of view is approximately 50 degrees and eye relief is a comfortable 2.5 inches so this is perfect for those who wear eyeglasses. Exit aperture is 1 3/8 inches. New, coated optics in this multi-element design. We took an existing lens assembly and mounted it to fit standard 2in telescope focusers. Exit Aperture is 25mm, Focal Length is 113mm, and, Eye Relief is 80mm (great for eyeglass wearers). Nice sharp images across the entire field, but the field of view is only about 20 degrees as it is barrel limited. If you are looking for low power sky views, this will do it well. Looking for the long focal length, low power eyepiece? Well here it finally is. This is a 2in threaded multi-element eyepiece with a 126mm focal length. The exit aperture is 34mm and the eye relief is about 85mm great for eyeglass wearers. Nice sharp image throughout the whole lens diameter. Field of view is about 30 degrees because of it being barrel limited. The total length is 144mm. Great low power eyepiece for star clusters, etc. |

Fits standard 2in telescope focusers. This is a great piece of machined and black anodized aluminum. It has a standard T-ring connection This item is internally threaded to fit the 50mm filter rings and is additionally threaded for our optical lens holders (L3891D, L3892D, L3902D) in case you want to get creative adding optics to it. The item is 41mm long by 50mm front barrel outside diameter with a 55mm diameter flange and an externally threaded for standard T-ring adapter. The internal diameter of the barrel is 47mm and steps down to 44mm.
Another excellent idea for this item is it would make a great objective housing for a finder/spotting scope. You would also just need to get one of the lens holder mentioned above and what ever achromatic lens that you desire for your application. Threaded for standard 2in filters or eyepieces. Similar adapters are selling for around twice our price and don't have the extra threading for internal lenses. New, made special for us. |
