I am the first supplier to recognise the potential of this camera, and to offer it for the first time to astronomers. This versatile camera has true exposures of up to over 10 seconds, and displays about 3 stellar magnitudes deeper than observing direct through an eyepiece. Incorporates the 1/3" Sony Colour P/S Double density interline CCD imaging chip, size 752 x 582 pixels.

Connects to any TV (no computer required). Displays deep sky objects displayed in real time, live TV. Superb for deep sky use, the camera is also good for lunar and planetary imaging, and even solar imaging (with a suitable filter). Other uses are comet searching, meteor observation, observing artificial satellites and space station, observing nocturnal wild life.

The camera is a true Day/Night Camera, with separate mechanical filters to ensure extended infra-red sensitivity in B/W mode, and different filtering to ensure correct balance of colour images. Camera Only includes: Camera, body cap, C/CS adapter, BNC/phono adapter, Comprehensive Instructions.

Full Kit includes Camera etc as above but also includes: Cable/Power Kit (video cable, connectors, 12v mains adapter), 1.25" Eyepiece adapter, AND "used but good" COMPUTAR 12.5MM f1.3 LENS.

This camera is similar to the Ex-view version above, except that

It uses the slightly less sensitive Sony HAD imaging chip, rather than the EX-view. Use of the HAD chip results in a cleaner image, with a flatter background and fewer hot pixels, at the expense of about 0.5 magnitude of sensitivity.

The camera displays live TV about 3.0 stellar magnitudes deeper than observing direct through an eyepiece. Incorporates a 1/2 inch Sony imaging chip, size 752 x 582 pixels. Click on the "Mintron" tab above for more information.
