MOGG FOCAL REDUCERS

Now with improved optics, these devices have an excellent reputation. They are used when cctv cameras are connected to telescopes with the 1.25 eyepiece adaper described above, but a wider field of view is required. Gives first-class results with CCD and Video cameras, but not designed for visual use.
The 0.6x focal reducer (left, in the picture) works with any SCT or Maksutov scope, such as Meade LX series, ETX-90, ETX-105, ETX-125, most refractors, and other scopes having at least 30mm of in-focus travel.
The reducer screws into your eyepiece or eyepiece adapter (right, in the picture) to give a 0.6x focal reduction.
When an extension tube (centre, in the picture) is used, with the reducer, a 0.3x focal reduction can be achieved. But this works with SCT and Maksutov scopes only.

This new device is perfect for capturing the output from the WDR or Mintron or indeed any analogue video camera having composite or s-video output. The device plugs into any PC or laptop which has a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port, and works with Windows 2000/XP. The PC/Laptop must be 400MHz or above and have a CD-ROM drive

Captures at the full PAL 720 X 576 resolution, either as a snapshot or as a movie file. (For full resolution movie files you'll need a PC/laptop with USB 2.0). A most powerful astro-imaging tool, when used in combination with suitable software such as Astrovideo or Registax.

Great for use with the WDR and Mintron, but you'll have fun with this device in other ways too. The Xpert DVD maker USB 2.0 allows for both desktop and notebook users to transfer analog video signals to their hard drives. Once captured, use the included software to edit your own home videos. With the Xpert DVD maker USB 2.0 you can easily connect a video camera to your PC to allow video transfer.

Multi-Format
It does not matter what old tape or format you have the Xpert DVD maker USB 2.0 can convert V8, VHS, Hi8, and even old videotapes. The image is easily sent to PC for editing and saving on CD in VCD and DVD format (CD or DVD burner required to burn disks).

Computar 12.5mm F/1.3 C-mount lens (Used item - supplied as part of the WDR and Mintron Camera Kits, and the Meade DSI Lens Kit). This lens fits direct to the WDR/Mintron cameras, but needs an adapter to fit the DSI camera. Such an adapter is included in the DSI Lens Kit).
These used lenses are in excellent condition cosmetically, with little, if any, signs of use. Most importantly, the optics are in clear, as new, condition. No lens caps are provided, but the front element has been protected by a filter in use. (This filter, in OK condition, is available free, on request).
With WDR cameras: wide angle field of view of over 28 degrees. With Mintron cameras: wide angle field of view of over 35 degrees. With the Meade DSI: 20 degrees. Iris opening of f1.3 gives a limiting magnitude of about 11 mag (WDR Camera), 10 mag (Mintron EX), under good skies. Meade DSI goes even deeper.
Length: 55mm. Threaded to accept 40.5mm photographic filters. Made in Japan.
